TÜV approval for LaserGas II SP
The LaserGas II SP has recently achieved German TÜV approval for NH3+H2O. The requirements of guidelines EN 14181 and EN 14956 are implemented in the approval. Our certified measurement ranges are
- 0 - 10 mg/m3 and 0 - 15 mg/m3 for NH3 and
- 0 - 30 %vol, 0 - 40 %vol, and 0 - 50 %vol for H2O
To our knowledge the LaserGas II SP is the first laser-based analyser that has been awarded TÜV approval for the very low NH3 measurement ranges as commonly found in DeNOx (Ammonia slip) applications.

Successful evaluation of the LaserGas II SP by EPRI
The LaserGas II SP has successfully participated in a lab test verification by the Electrical Power Research Institute (EPRI) in the USA. The objective of the test, carried out at the University of California Riverside was to evaluate the LaserGas II SP over a range of Ammonia concentrations, temperatures, and moisture levels commensurate with flue gas conditions at the economizer outlet of a coal fired boiler.
Amongst the four laser-based analysers tested the LaserGas II SP was "best in test" when it comes to minimum detection limit and average precision.
A summary of the test report is available on request. -

LaserGas II SP Compact released
Derived from the well-known LaserGas II SP this analyser is even more compact. It has specifically been designed for trace level measurement of atmospheric gases (e.g. H2O, CO2, or O2), measurement across thin pipes (diameter down to 10 cm) and gas detection on measurement cells.
This analyser features a focused laser beam so that it can measure through very thin nozzles (< 10 mm diameter). Thus, for applications with continuous purge to prevent dust from settling on the analyser windows the SP Compact will require very small purge flow (typically < 3 l/min per flange).
The LaserGas II SP Compact has already found wide acceptance in the German car industry for fast in-situ ppm NH3 measurement across exhaust pipes of engine test stands. Please refer to the product section for further information and specifications. -

CSA approval for LaserGas II product line
The LaserGas II product line has successfully passed CSA approval. The approval covers LaserGas II Single Path, Multipass, and Open Path analysers and includes indicators “C” and “US” for the Canadian and US market. The analysers are available in general purpose and Class 1 Division 2 version. The latter carries a non-incendive approval so no purge is required. The analysers are even designed for Class 1 Division 1, which may be obtained by adding a “Y” type purge.More information about the LaserGas II product line may be found here.

LaserGas I HCl awarded MCERTS
We are proud to announce that the LaserGas I HCl has been awarded MCERTS approval with certified measurement ranges of 0 – 15 mg/m3 and 0 – 90 mg/m3. To our knowledge it is the first laser-based HCl analyser to achieve MCERTS. The official listing may be found on the Sira Env. homepage.
The LaserGas I HCl has carried German TÜV approval since 1999 and has been successfully installed in many CEM applications.
