ProductsLaserGasTM II Single Path Compact Monitor
The SP Compact Monitors are designed for in-situ measurement across pipes or for by-pass measurements on measurement cells. Typical path lengths are in the range 10 – 100 cm. These monitors are also the preferred solution for in-situ or by-pass measurements of trace levels of atmospheric gases (O2 and H2O). The LaserGas II SP Compact Monitor utilizes a transmitter / receiver configuration (mounted diametrically opposite each other) to measure the average gas concentration along the optical line-of-sight. The monitors’ compact design comprises the transmitter unit with laser module, collimating optics, and main electronics and the receiver unit with focusing lens, photo detector and receiver electronics. The laser beam is focused (ca. 2 mm diameter) and for that reason the SP compact can measure through very thin nozzles (< 10 mm diameter). Thus, for applications with continuous purge to prevent dust from settling on the windows the SP compact will require very small purge flow (< 150 l/hour per flange). The transmitter and receiver unit have both environmental protection IP66 for rough industrial environments. The standard optical windows withstand pressures up to 5 bar abs. Measurement readings are provided through standard 4-20 mA current loops, or as options the fibre-optic output and the Ethernet interface. The latter enables instrument communication via local area networks or the Internet. Based on the well-proven tuneable diode laser (TDLAS) technology the instrument has a number of unique features.
