LaserGas^TM II Vial Tester

The Vial Tester is specifically designed for non-destructive leakage testing of medical vials. Oxygen or other gases (H2O, CO etc.) are measured in the headspace of the vial, above the product. To accommodate different sizes of vials with different fill levels the mechanical interface of this analyser is always customised for the specific application. Note that the Vial Tester has also been adapted to measurement of contaminants in light bulbs.

The monitor consists of the same modules (transmitter, receiver) as the other LaserGas II analysers but includes special custom-made vial holders. The laser light travels through the vial to the detector mounted diametrically opposite. The detector collects the transmitted light for further analysis and calculation of the gas concentration.

The LaserGas II Vial Tester is a turn-key instrument. Connecting power and optional purge is all that is required during installation.

Measurement readings are provided through standard 4-20 mA current loops, or as options the fibre-optic output and the Ethernet interface. The latter enables instrument communication via local area networks or the Internet. Direct output to printers is another option.

Based on the well-proven tuneable diode laser (TDLAS) technology the instrument has a number of unique features.
